Every beer is vegan
Nothing from an animal goes into any Tangent beer, cask included. Here is how, and what each beer does contain.
Why isn’t all beer vegan?
Malt, hops, water and yeast are all vegan. The catch comes at the end. Cask ale is traditionally cleared with isinglass, made from fish swim bladders, so the yeast drops out and the pint pours bright.
What do you use instead?
We fine with Super F instead of isinglass. Choc Van Port gets its chocolate and vanilla without any milk or lactose.

All twelve are suitable for vegans.
Is any of it gluten-free?
No. Every beer is brewed with barley, and Mac Oil, My Bad and Tangent One also contain wheat. If you need to avoid gluten, none of them are suitable.
Where can I drink it?
At the taproom in Yate, open Friday and Saturday, 5pm until 10:30pm, where you can also take cans home. Our cask ales are on in pubs around Yate and Bristol too.
